THE PHILOSOPHY OF "LAW AND GRACE": THE FIRST APOSTOLIC UNDERSTANDING OF METROPOLITAN HILARION

The article discusses two fundamental concepts of the Christian philosophy of "Law" and "Grace." Based on the analysis of the monument of ancient Russian philosophical thought of Metropolitan Hilarion, "The Word of the Law and Grace," an analysis of these concepts is given. Parallels are noted in early Christian texts, and the view of contemporary researchers of ancient Russian philosophy on the work of Metropolitan Hilarion is also assessed. The similarities and differences in the views of the ancient Russian philosopher and thinkers of early Christianity are revealed. An attempt is also made to analyze the influence of these moral and ethical ideals on modern society.References
