Abstract

This article considers special aspects of audiovisual translation in the form of computer-aided subtitling within the context of computer-assisted translation tools and the YouTube Closed Captions subtitling software in particular. The work conducts structural analysis of YouTube video content as an audiovisual product in order to determine primary translation strategies and carries out an evaluation of the YouTube Closed Captions software performance in the process of translation.
