REFLECTION OF CULTURAL VALUES IN INAUGURAL ADDRESSES OF US PRESIDENTS

The article defines the key concepts - ‘inauguration’, ‘inaugural address’, ‘cultural values’; traces the reflection of national and cultural values in the inaugural addresses of eight US presidents; highlights the dominant national and cultural values in each of the speeches considered; states that the main values to which the US presidents appeal in inaugural addresses are freedom, democracy, equality, unity and preservation of traditions.References
