Abstract

The article presents the main results of sociological research «On the national language situation in Semey city of the East Kazakhstan region (the share of the population that speaks the state language; the specific volume of office work in the Kazakh language in the total volume of document flow of state bodies)». In conclusion, the main trends in the development of language processes in the Semey region are identified.
