Abstract

The article reveals the problems of professional development of an education manager facing the education system. The components of the professional competence of an education manager have been determined. The stages of development of a draft professional standard "Head of an educational organization (management in the field of education)" are highlighted and disclosed. The "new" contexts of the development of the system of additional professional education in the Russian Federation have been updated.
