TEACHERS' ATTITUDES TOWARDS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERDISCIPLINARY CONNECTIONS IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN SOCIAL SCIENCE

The article is devoted to the problem of integrating interdisciplinary connections into the organization of extracurricular activities in social studies. The determining organizational and pedagogical condition for its successful solution is the attitude of teachers to the implementation of interdisciplinary connections in the educational process. The article presents the results of the analytical and final stages of the pedagogical experiment conducted by the authors in the 2024-2025 academic year. The experimental work consisted of developing and testing an additional general developmental educational program “The Art of Patterns: Handicrafts and Society” as a form of organizing extracurricular activities in social studies. The article traces the dynamics of teachers' attitudes towards the implementation of interdisciplinary connections before and after testing a program aimed at integrating knowledge about society and developing artistic creativity skills, in particular tatting, in students. Particular attention is paid to teachers' understanding of the concept of an interdisciplinary approach and an analysis of the challenges of implementing interdisciplinary connections in extracurricular social studies activities. The article presents best teaching practices and specific practical recommendations based on the results of the experiment. The article is intended for teachers, educators, methodologists and researchers interested in implementing an interdisciplinary approach and increasing the effectiveness of extracurricular work on the subject.References
