ANALYSIS OF COMPETENCIES AND VIEWS OF SCHOOL GRADUATES IN THE FIELD OF TACTICAL MEDICINE AND MILITARY-PATRIOTIC EDUCATION

Tactical medicine training in high school military training is aimed at developing first aid skills in extreme situations, emphasizing the importance of careful quality control. Currently, the "Fundamentals of Homeland Security and Defense" (OBZR) curriculum for grades 9-11 includes only five academic hours of first aid and tactical medicine, which is likely insufficient to reliably reinforce these skills, especially in stressful and high-risk situations. The primary objective of the study was to determine the knowledge and skills of high school students in tactical medicine and to assess their military-patriotic worldview. The results revealed a low level of knowledge and practical skills among school graduates, both directly related to first aid and the specifics of providing first aid in extreme situations. Furthermore, students have a poor understanding of military history, symbols, and soldier's responsibilities, accompanied by a negative attitude toward military training itself. Based on the data obtained, there is an urgent need to develop a special program of extracurricular activities or amend existing programs on the fundamentals of military training to ensure the systematic study and reinforcement of the theory and practice of tactical medicine. Such a measure could contribute to raising the level of military-patriotic awareness among schoolchildren, developing their psychological resilience and readiness for effective action in extreme situations.References
