RUSSIAN FOLK TRADITIONS AS A SUBSTANTIVE BASIS FOR TEACHING INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION (USING THE EXAMPLE OF GERMAN LANGUAGE LESSONS)

The article examines the problem of developing intercultural communicative competence in German language lessons through references to Russian folk traditions. The author substantiates the relevance of including substantive information about one's native culture in the process of teaching a foreign language, especially during the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The article presents practical experience of conducting a station-based competition lesson on the theme "Tea Drinking: Russian and German Traditions." Various types of tasks are described (memory game, mirror sentences, a shop with mirror letters) that help overcome language barriers, develop comparison skills, and increase motivation. Methodological and educational conclusions are formulated.References
