The article deals with the problem of linguistic personalities in the plays by B. Shaw and O. Wilde. The linguistic personality of a character can be considered as a means of the reconstruction of the author’s linguistic personality. Investigating gender and social peculiarities of a linguistic personality is of great importance because it can help to analyze the evolution of the character.References
