Museum of Pokriskin in Novosibirsk

Abstract

In honor of the 100th anniversary since the birth of the Honorary citizen of Novosibirsk, Three times Hero of the Soviet Union, Marshal of aviation Alexander Pokryshkin there were attempts to organize a large Museum Pokryshkin, but they were, unfortunately, unsuccessful. A more interesting and challenging was the Museum at the College of metallurgy and engineering created by E.M. Popov, artist-oriented application. The Museum reflects not only the participation of A.I. Pokryshkin in the Second world war, but also help to understand its role as one of the commanders of the «cold war», the Creator of the modern protivozdushnoy defense.
