Abstract

Abstract: The article examines the term “concept” and its historical development in linguistics associated with the concepts of conceptualism.  The main emphasis is on the development of cognitive linguistics and linguistic culturology in Tajikistan at the beginning of the 21st century; a new direction of conceptual analysis is explored, which deals with the relationship between language and thinking.  The article also notes that cognitive linguistics in the country is at the stage of active development.
