Abstract

Abstract: The article highlights the importance of the development of strategic competence of students of  pedagogical university in the course of teaching dialogical speech in foreign language, describes its component composition, the main strategies and tactics necessary for successful communication in a foreign language, defines the criteria for the assessment of the development of strategic competence, allowing students to track their readiness to implement successful communicative interaction in a foreign language.
