Abstract

In the article questions of formation of representations about the surrounding world at the senior preschool children are considered. The main tasks and criteria for the development of these representations are determined. Acquaintance of preschool children with the surrounding world is understood by the author as a means of education in the minds of children of realistic knowledge about the world, based on sensory experience and the education of a proper attitude towards it. An analysis of the main problems experienced by children living in remote areas of the Altai Territory is also presented. These difficulties are explained not only by the lack of defectological personnel in the districts, but also by the low level of development of parental competence.
